Technics SL-1500 – Direct Drive Turntable – 1975 – Needs Maintenance Description: For sale is an original Technics SL-1500 from the mid-1970s, one of the most appreciated early-generation Technics direct-drive turntables. This is a fully manual model, very solidly built and sought after by vintage Hi-Fi enthusiasts. The unit includes: • original aluminium platter • Technics rubber mat • S-shaped tonearm with SME-type headshell • original dust cover Cosmetic condition: Good overall condition with normal signs of use. The dust cover shows superficial scratches but is intact and free of cracks. Functional condition: • The motor spins correctly • The strobe markings do not remain aligned • This misalignment is due to lack of lubrication and routine maintenance, which has not been performed in order to avoid removing the platter (so a basic service — lubrication/adjustment — is recommended before optimal use) • Cartridge not included Sold as needing maintenance, but complete and mechanically original.
