Description from the seller

This elegant Italian late 19th-century chest of drawers is crafted in splendid tiger-striped walnut, with open book flames that create a perfectly mirrored design.

The structure is sound and rests on typical period 'cippola' feet. The base features an original drawer, with internal linings marked by traces of saw and hand plane; the nails are period-appropriate, with some reinforcements added in the mid-twentieth century. On the sides, two refined ebony-finished roosters stand out. The mirror, tilting and in perfect condition, has been replaced to ensure its durability. Small signs of extinct woodworm are visible on the back.

Seller's Story

I have always been passionate about our past, knowing it is the only thing that does not cease the connection between what is and what was. When I reached the right age I understood that my passion had to coincide with my work and so I opened a business. The key principles are quality and love towards the customer. Francesco Secondo
