Magnificent large Capodimonte porcelain group depicting a charming countryside scene: a young girl holding a nest with two baby birds, while a boy climbs a wooden ladder to reach the tree above. Beautifully modelled with delicate detailing throughout - from the lace-effect skirt, hand-painted floral decorations, expressive faces, and finely sculpted foliage and flowers.
A classic romantic composition in the true Capodimonte tradition, decorated in soft pastel colours with rich gilding on the base. The piece carries the Capo-di-Monte "N" mark and is artist-signed on the base
