Artist José de Pazos presents Skate Mickey Pop, 2023, a wooden artwork on recycled Barcelona skateboards, edition 2/3, hand-signed with a certificate of authenticity, 210 mm wide by 820 mm high and 20 mm deep, Spain, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Created on recycled skateboards from Barcelona with spray paints and inks featuring iconic images from pop art, Keith Haring, Banksy, Disney...
Born in Cádiz in 1976, José de Pazos made his debut in the art scene at just 17 years old with his first solo exhibition.
His studies in Art, specializing in photography, led him to work as a photojournalist for leading national and international agencies.
He is currently fully dedicated to graphic design as CEO of a printing and graphic design company and to producing artworks that hang on walls around the world.
Fascinated by both Pop Art and the Street Art scene, he reflects this in his work by integrating his characters, advertising designs, or pop icons with irony, focusing on the excesses and deviations of consumer society through the use of well-known brands and a sense of humor to convey his message.
Using texture overlays with stencils, collages, and various mixed media techniques with acrylics and sprays on different supports makes their work highly recognizable and with a distinctive style, where they showcase their passion for textures and layers as an observer, incorporating that feeling into their artworks.
