VERY UNUSUAL ANTIQUE FRENCH DOLL IMPRESSED 10 - 25 INCH This is a very striking Etienne Denamur doll dating from the 1870's She has large fixed blue glass paper weight eyes, top and lower painted eyelashes and heavy multi stroke eyebrows. Her open mouth reveals four moulded teeth. Her ears are pierced. Her pressed bisque head is perfect and is impressed on the back E 11 D Depose. Her real hair wig is not the original but suits her perfectly. She is on a heavy French body which retains all the original paint and sheen, with the nice large hands of the earlier dolls Her dress and bonnet have been specially made for her from pale blue pure silk and vintage lace.
