Candlestick empire - Gilt bronze

A beautiful gilt bronze Empire-style candlestick, richly decorated with classical ornamentation. The piece displays all the typical features of the early 19th century: strict symmetry, laurel wreaths, garlands, and small urn motifs.

The square base is beautifully ornamented with relief decorations and elegant borders. The stem is three-part and decorated with floral and drapery details, giving the whole a luxurious and stately appearance. The candlestick is crafted from heavy, solid bronze, with remnants of the original gilding that still retains its warm, beautiful tone.

The foot still has the original drip edge for the candle wax.
