Ben Oude Breuil signs his paintings "O'Breuil." In 1996, he won the Eastern Netherlands Talensprijs (East Netherlands Talens Prize). He has exhibited large canvases in numerous cities, focusing on architecture and perspective. His work hangs in boardrooms and company reception halls. Since his retirement, Oude Breuil has focused on still lifes and portraits. A portrait of King Willem-Alexander and two portraits of Queen Máxima are on loan at the Oranjemuseum in Diepenheim. The still lifes have found their way to numerous collectors throughout Europe. This is a small Masonite panel, measuring 16 x 16 cm, depicting two sparrows on a branch.
