XTC, Mc Dollars red Boxed, a framed plastic and wood artwork from 2025, edition 8/20, 27 × 27 × 6 cm, hand-signed, made in France, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Red and yellow McDollars cone in a black box frame for a wall presentation by XTC.
Dismantling the McDonald's cone, it's not a cardboard McDonald's cone, it was created using plastic materials and fully painted and varnished by XTC with fake bills.
The frame is part of the artwork. It is provided with a plastic glass, and you can display it with or without, as shown in the first and second photos.
Signed and numbered on the back out of 20, Certificate (COA) provided.
The sample sent is not necessarily the one in the photo but will be similar.
Careful packaging and tracking
Born in 1978 in the heart of France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration has turned into a passion that was to materialize.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement through the appropriation of contemporary mass-produced goods.
His creativity is expressed through the daring staging of icons of popular consumer culture (like McDonald's, Malabar, Chupa), which he juxtaposes with the world of luxury (including Chanel, Hermes, Veuve Clicquot champagne, and Caviar) and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of resins, plastics, and sometimes minerals.
He draws inspiration, among others, from Banksy, Keith Haring, Orlinski, Andy Warhol, Obey, and advertising and addictions in general.
All defects or imperfections are considered an integral part of the work.
