Plate (2) - Porcelain - Qianlong - Peonies
A pair of Famille Rose porcelain plates, decorated with peonies and other flowers.
China - Qianlong Period (1736-1795)
The first plate is free of chips or cracks. There is a tiny speck on the rim that fluoresces under UV light and appears to be the start of a chip (see photo 17).
The second plate shows a few very small chips and some minor fritting (see photos 34–37).
Diameter = 22.8 cm
Combined weight = 615 g
In good condition. Normal traces of age and use. The second plate is 2.4 cm high, while the first one is 2.8 cm high. Checked with UV-light and bright white light.
