The painting features a solitary tree in a landscape of cool and ochre tones, executed with loose, thick brushstrokes characteristic of the Impressionist style. The branches, lively and dynamic, blend with a cloudy sky where grays, muted greens, and soft blues combine. The ground, in earthy hues, adds depth and contrast, creating a melancholic and naturalistic atmosphere. The composition conveys tranquility while also evoking a certain atmospheric vibration, a result of the gestural application of color.

The frame is made of carved wood, with classic lines and a finish in gold and brown tones, featuring a double profile that enhances the presence of the artwork. Its aesthetic is harmoniously integrated with the color palette of the painting.
