Roagna Asili Vecchie Viti Barbaresco 2017, 3 bottles of 0.75 L each, in original wooden case, with a fully intact metal capsule and readable label.
Description from the seller
Barbaresco Asili Vecchie Viti Roagna is a special red wine.
The plants used to create this wine have a minimum age of over 50 years, therefore old vines, exclusively of massal origin with wood obtained by pruning from the same vineyard.
Asili is one of the historic vineyards of the village of Barbaresco and is located to the south of the vineyard area of the village. The soil is particularly rich in calcareous marl and with veins of reddish yellow sand. The parcel owned by Roagna extends over an area of about 0.22 hectares and is located exactly in the central part of the hill. This parcel of Asili was purchased by Giovanni Roagna in 1961.
The harvest takes place exclusively by hand in the month of October, usually in one morning, when perfectly ripe. Fermentation takes place exclusively in wooden vats. It follows the ancient submerged cap maceration technique, which lasts at least 70-90 days. The wine then matures in an oak barrel for about 5 years.
The production of Barbaresco Asili Vecchie Viti Roagna is very limited, about a thousand for each vintage put on the market.
Extra charges and ancillary fees (for import shipments) may be applied if the shipment to countries oustide the EU.
