Description from the seller

The charitosomus is a medium-small fish with an elongated and low body, related to the current Gonorhynchus gonorhynchus, commonly found in deep waters. The Gonorhinchiformes are an order of euteleostei represented by only about twenty genera, nine of which are still living.
Specific size: 140 mm.
The other fish is a Diplomystus measuring 45 mm. It is a clupeomorph that was widespread in the Cenozoic and went extinct in the Miocene, and today it is represented by herrings, anchovies, and sardines.
This fine specimen of museum quality comes from the Hakel-Libano deposit, Cretaceous period, 96 million years ago. It has undergone conservation treatment with Paraloid B 72 to protect it from pollution, as is customary for museums.
Please note that most fossils break during excavation; if this happens, they are professionally glued.
The shipment is made via insured and trackable express courier.
