Antique Max Sievert petrol lamp converted to a lamp, dating from ca. 1930–1940, made of brass and iron, 12 × 12 × 35 cm with a gold patina, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Beautiful original Max Sievert gasoline burner model 571 converted into a lamp.
Material: brass and iron.
Beautiful patina. Lived-in character. See photos (these are part of the description).
The conversion has been skillfully performed without damaging the gasoline burner. The lamp and gasoline burner can be easily disassembled, allowing the gasoline burner to be restored to its original condition.
Including a large Swedish Rollsbo LED spiral lamp (see photo). This can be easily replaced with a small lamp with a lampshade (both included).
The antique gasoline burner / paraffin burner / blowtorch / brazing lamp / blow lamp / blaaslamp was designed between 1930 and 1952 by the company Max Sievert (this is an estimate because much documentation was lost during World War II).
The company was founded in 1882 by Max Sievert (1849-1914) himself and was later continued by his sons. The company still exists today (as of 2025), under the name 'Sievert AB'. The oldest catalog they still possess dates from 1952. It lists model 751.
Available for pickup in Oosterhout (NB), Netherlands. Delivery can also be arranged upon request (possibly free of charge). Shipping is, of course, also an option. It will be carefully packed.
