Thorens - TD 166 mk2 Turntable

The famous Thorens TD 166, mkII, a classic with clear, stable sound and a very neutral character. The musical characteristics are exceptionally good.

The Thorens TD-166 is a belt-driven turntable.
It is equipped with a sturdy AC motor.
Very high quality, the rotating plate alone weighs over 2.3 kg.

The sub chassis, consisting of the turntable platter and tonearm.
Suspended on three springs, which reduces the player's susceptibility to vibrations from the motor and external sources. This is one of the factors that contribute to the great sound that Thorens is so well known for.

As can be seen in the photos, this is a well-preserved example with light signs of use. The dust cover is also still very nice.
There are very good quality gold-plated plugs mounted on the high-quality Thorens RCA cable.

Equipped with a beautifully sounding Philips GP400 element with a new needle.

Comes with a new drive belt.

When shipped, it is carefully packed and sent insured.
