My work is my story, my journey.
The act of creation allows me to meet myself. My paintings are the relationships, the solitudes, the everyday life of the people I observe, respect, and detest: all parts of myself.
I seek and represent contradictions, those that are now emerging explosively, to encounter and depict the deepest emotional contrasts: in the name of ambivalence, I love creating detailed, refined images generated by careful attention to details, alternating them with uncontrolled brushstrokes, spontaneous shades, and color gradations that gift me sensations of freedom and possibilities for expression.
Observing man as an exploratory and knowledge medium, I create images that evoke atmospheres and scenarios of which he himself is the author. Spaces and contexts overwhelm but also support my characters, coloring their figures and shadows.
Inventing surreal combinations of people and places disconnected from their surroundings allows me to seek and find new narrative solutions that continue to surprise me.
Representing the energy and the invisible force behind all of this is my greatest challenge.
I was born in 1970 in Pinerolo (Turin), where I live and work.
Self-taught, in 1999 I began exhibiting my works at the contemporary art gallery 'En Plein Air' in Pinerolo (TO). Subsequently, I participated in various group exhibitions, two solo shows, and national competitions.
