Aldo Tura - Aldo Tura - Table (2) - Brass Bar Coffee Table - goatskin - Aldo Tura shell accessory

Brown Goatskin Parchment and Steel Bar Coffee Table by Aldo Tura, 1960 The table seems to float, a stunning Masterpiece that enchants thee room The varnished goatskin parchment, in rich shades of warm light and dark olive - walnut brown, makes this coffee table typical of designer Aldo Tura. This large square piece would make a fascinating centerpiece for any living room. It’s been beautifully finished for a smooth, glossy texture that feels highly decorative, with a large stainless steel inlay. The table features a niche bar covered by mirrors. Despite its sharpness, the warm, dappled colours of the table allow it to seem cosy, rather than harsh, and all the details are really beautiful. The table is in a good vintage condition but can be restored at 2 places ( see the pictures) and repolished,. Repair not necessary if you place the scale in that place, see a photo A very rare find, and a true timeless Mid-Century Italian beauty. Aldo Tura is a unique figure in the panorama of Italian design of the twentieth century, famous for his obsession with materials and continuous experimentation on finishes and surfaces. His work is halfway between author crafts and high -end industrial production, with a predilection for complex and refined techniques, including the masterful use of the parchment, often applied and hand -dyed, as in this case. Each piece by Tura is the result of a meticulous process, which requires time, precision and an out of common aesthetic sensitivity. This table is an emblematic example: elegant, essential, but at the same time material and sensual. The surface retains all the wealth of the original parchment and discreetly tells the passage of the years. The design language of Tura, in this case, is expressed through the formal simplicity and the refinement of materials, in a perfect balance between rationalism and decorativism. Pieces like this, authentic and well preserved, are now increasingly rare and refined, present in the most careful collections and in environments where the interior design dialogues with the history of Italian author furniture. A silent but eloquent work, which speaks to those who know how to grasp the beauty in detail. The table presents itself in excellent original conditions. The parchment surface is intact, with slight and homogeneous traces of the time compatible with age, such as superficial micrographers and a light natural patina that enhances its authenticity. There are no breaks, lifts or visible restoration signs. The base is solid and stable. Overall, the piece fully retains its material charm and is ready to be inserted in both historical and contemporary environments. Ophalen of professioneel (wereldwijd verzekerd) bezorgen in overleg
