Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Doxa pocket watch, a large Goliath model dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, with a 68 mm case diameter, weighing 182.5 g, in an Argentan case with manual winding movement, in good condition with signs of wear, in working order and shipped insured.
Description from the seller
Doxa, an antique watch dating back to the late 1800s to early 1900s, very sturdy and heavy. It is a large pocket watch Goliath, with a diameter of 68 mm from left to right and weighing 182.5 grams.
Doxa, English house watches, a very famous and highly sought-after emblem, in this case with Swiss mechanics.
Beautiful characteristic design of English pocket watches, often quite thick and slightly domed, with sapphire glass and a spectacular ceramic dial with gold inserts.
The watch's condition is more than good, with only a tiny mark on the dial near the 8 o'clock position, visible in the photo. However, it is really microscopic and could just be dirt, so it can be removed. Otherwise, the condition is excellent.
The case, on the other hand, shows some signs of age, mainly internally and therefore not visible, but probably cleanable with a specific product.
Regarding its functioning, the watch works well but may require lubrication and cleaning to ensure proper performance without sudden stops.
Beautiful and rare.
