Twelve decorative side and plant tables made of oak from the Netherlands, dating to the 1930s, with a three-legged Art Nouveau design and a four-legged Art Deco design, both sturdy though the four-legged table has a crack in the top.
Description from the seller
Two very attractive and decorative side tables or plant tables. The tables are made of oak wood and date from the 1920s or 1930s of the last century.
The tripod is probably older than the four-legged table. It is 52cm high, and the top has a diameter of 27cm. The weight of this small table is approximately 2.8kg. The four-legged table is 61cm high, with a top measuring 31cm by 31cm. Its weight is about 2.6kg. Both tables are made of oak and have been sanded at some point. On the left and right, you can still see small remnants of stain (see photos). The tables are not in the same style. The four-legged table is a true Art Deco piece, while the tripod still shows some Art Nouveau features, such as the S-shape of the legs. This is the reason to suspect that this small table is slightly older than the four-legged one. Nevertheless, both tables match well. Both are also stable, although it should be noted that the four-legged table has a crack in the top. This is because the top has warped slightly due to temperature and humidity influences (see photos). This can be repaired, but it is not necessary. The small table is sturdy and stable enough to serve as a pedestal for a heavy sculpture.
The tables are probably made in the Netherlands. All signs of use are logical and typical for furniture that is around 100 years old.
Both tables are still very stable, making them not only beautiful furniture pieces in a setting but also highly functional. They can be used as side tables or as pedestals (see photos).
Both tables are carefully packed and carefully shipped.
