Description from the seller
Pioneer Elite F-91 Digital AM/FM Tuner
Offers a powerful and detailed sound with less distortion.
Pioneer ARTS: is simply the best of both worlds: its IF filter actively tracks the desired signal, rejecting interference. Now, you can enjoy both the low distortion of a wide band-pass filter and the high selectivity of a narrow band-pass filter. Sensitivity has also been significantly improved.
The second feature of Pioneer is the Digital Direct Decoder Type III. It takes the output from the ARTS IF circuit and converts it into digital format before directly transforming it into stereo analog signals. Thanks to its purely digital operation, our DDD Type III is less susceptible to signal degradation. Additionally, in Type III, we simplified the circuits by using a new PLL detector, which further reduced noise. Improvements also extend to other circuits of the tuner. For example, the front end is equipped with an ID MOSFET to enhance reception. In fact, the front end is as sensitive and selective as a finely tuned four-channel tuning capacitor. The F-91, like Pioneer amplifiers and CD players, is designed based on our anti-vibration concept to dampen resonances and harmful vibrations and improve sound quality. We transformed the circuits into modules and filled them with epoxy resin. We added honeycomb ribs to the chassis and used large insulators to block external vibrations.
