Main consequences of [no tax code]

1. Potential customs hold: Customs authorities recommend/require tax code entry even for personal shipments.
If no tax code is provided:
- Shipment held at customs
- Recipient receives a "Submit tax code" notification (via mail, SMS, email, etc.)

2. Delivery delays or worst-case scenario: return shipment
If the recipient fails to submit the tax code within the deadline
The item risks being returned or destroyed (especially if left unclaimed for an extended period)

3. Requirement to pay customs duties and VAT
Even for personal EMS shipments not treated as commercial, VAT (Value Added Tax) and customs duties may be imposed if the item's value is high.
In such cases, the tax code may also be required for tax payment.

If you do not provide a tax code, we may ship without one (due to shipping deadlines).

Japanese woodworking plane (kanna)

This is a traditional Japanese woodworking plane (kanna).
The blade bears the mark “Tomimitsu (富光)”, hand-forged by a skilled Japanese blacksmith. It features a laminated construction of hard high-carbon steel and soft iron, ensuring excellent sharpness, edge retention, and durability.

The thick blade has a finely polished mirror-finished back.
The wooden body is made of solid oak (kashi) with a beautiful grain pattern, offering stability and a comfortable grip during use.
It is not only a highly functional professional tool but also a collectible example of Japan’s traditional blacksmithing craftsmanship.
