Knife rest - .934 silver - My Friesland 1796

My collection includes an antique silver handle decorated with Biblical scenes, topped with a small dog, called a 'kees' dog.
Such a little dog was the symbol of the patriots in that time. (late 18th century)

Note: Johan Feddema, who worked in Leeuwarden from 1780 to 1811. See also the photos for the inspections.

There is also an engraving of 1796 on the handle.

The blade is indeed old (Bastet) but certainly not original and was replaced later.

In good condition, especially considering its age.
