Description from the seller
Lot of 2 vintage benches in solid wood
Set consisting of two vintage solid wood benches, from different eras and styles, both carefully restored while preserving the original patina and character of the pieces. Ideal for rustic, vintage, or mid-century decor, or as functional elements in contemporary interiors.
Tall bench (lighter) – Traditional rustic style (circa 1920–1950)
Solid wood bench, probably European chestnut, with turned legs and X-bracing. A Portuguese/Iberian handcrafted piece, typical of the first half of the 20th century.
It presents natural signs of aging that are compatible with a person's age, already restored, preserving their original charm.
Measures:
Seat: 33 × 32 cm
Height: 54 cm
Darker bench (mahogany/sapelli) – Mid-Century Modern (c. 1950–1970)
Tropical wood (mahogany or sapelli) bench, with simple lines and straight legs, characteristic of the functional design of the 1950s–70s.
The X-shaped structure enhances stability and reveals craftsmanship typical of small woodworking. Restored, it retains signs of use and a small central hole on the top, consistent with old modifications.
Measures:
Seat: 34.5 × 34.5 cm
Height: 52 cm
General condition of the lot
Both banks are solid and stable, ready to use.
Wood that is clean, treated, and protected, keeping the natural color.
Minimal signs of use consistent with age.
Excellent decorative set, combining an antique rustic piece and a mid-century modern piece.
