Description from the seller

Small turret clock
We can think of nothing else but that this clock is a facade or tower clock.
This watch, which had many intermediate parts serving as a facade or tower clock, played a functional role.
According to us, this little clock probably used to hang in a school or town hall, with the clock mechanism inside a thin intermediate plate and outside a dial.
The dial usually remained attached to the building.
The length of the wire for winding also indicates a very high fall of the weight.
There is now a French dial mounted on this watch from the same period.
The observant viewer will notice that the ring of the dial is removable, giving it a slightly more modern appearance without the ring. However, it remains a French movement from the period.
1850 to 1900
This very sturdy and reliable watch will run for about a week at this altitude.
A splendidly beautiful watch.
The pens in the photos indicate one of the measurements.
In short, a unique and beautiful eye-catcher.
