Description from the seller
Lorenzo Palazzi was a painter from Livorno, a Post-Impressionist, and a Post-Macchiaiolo from Livorno, born in 1921 and passed away in 1990.
His training took place under the guidance of his grandfather, Professor Anselmi, a restorer at the Musei Nazionali. His entire artistic career has been characterized by a painting style of a typically Labronica genre, achieving notable critical and public success. Palazzi participated in the first Quadriennale dell’Arte in Turin and later in the International Fair 2000 in Bologna.
Lorenzo Palazzi's painterly style is closely connected to the environment in which the artist was trained, the Scuola Labronica, where a very refined landscape painting developed based on the premises of Post-Impressionism and Post-Macchiaiolismo. It can be seen how the entire compositional structure of the work is based on an extremely quick and cursive brushstroke that sketches the subjects with a few rapid touches. The sense of immediacy in the rendering is extreme. Equally notable is the importance given to color, which is very dense, with some brushstrokes loaded with a white that brings light.
The work is intact.
Complimentary frame with dimensions 64.5x84.5 cm
Oil on faesite 50x70 cm
With the front and back signature of the artist and a Certificate of Authenticity from Casa D'Arte Toscana.
Tracked and insured shipment.
