Tomàs Vilà i Puigdemont (often referred to simply as Tomàs Vilà) is a contemporary Catalan painter born in 1952 in La Cellera de Ter, Girona.
Basic biographical data
Birth: 1952, Mas Muner de La Cellera de Ter (Girona).
Training: she studied arts at the Escola de Belles Arts d’Olot before dedicating herself fully to painting.
Professionalization: since the late 1970s, he has been professionally dedicated to pictorial and graphic creation.
Work and style
His work is considered multidisciplinary, as he has also engaged in drawing, printmaking, and sculpture.
In painting, it is mainly associated with landscapes of the Catalan land, interiors of cellars, and, in later stages, maritime themes, treated with warm and atmospheric realism.
Exhibitions and projection
He has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Catalan galleries, especially at spaces like Sala Rusiñol, in addition to participating in contemporary art fairs and shows.
