Materials: wood, engraved brass/pewter, tortoiseshell imitation varnish, golden metal applications.
Period: X1900 (replica/reconstruction in 18th-century style)
Origin: Europe
Condition: Fair – visible signs of wear, small chips and structural cracks, oxidized gilding, reconstructed parts. (See detailed photos)

Elegant decorative base made in the style of André-Charles Boulle, featuring an imitation of the 'Boulle' technique with brass and pewter inlay on a tortoiseshell background. The surfaces display rich floral motifs and ornamental cartouches. Decorative applications in gilded metal are applied subsequently.
The internal structure is simple and not contemporary with 18th-century models: it is a replica/decorative item made in the 20th century, probably used as a support for a watch or an exhibition object.
