Description from the seller
F-15E Strike Eagle – 1:100 scale – complete display model in very good condition
Up for auction is a detailed 1:100 scale model of the McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle, finished in the characteristic dark two-tone grey scheme used by operational USAF Strike Eagle units. The model shows the twin-seat cockpit clearly through the clean, transparent canopy, with both crew positions fully represented.
The aircraft is fitted with an extensive weapons loadout under the wings and fuselage, including bombs, missiles and drop tanks, giving it the heavy strike configuration that the F-15E is known for. Panel lines and surface details are sharply moulded, and the aircraft features subtle weathering which adds realism without being excessive. The vertical stabilisers carry USAF markings and tail codes consistent with Strike Eagle units, giving the model an authentic appearance.
The model is displayed on a sturdy stand and presents itself very nicely from all angles. Condition is very good, with neat paintwork, intact landing gear, clear canopy sections and no visible missing parts. The model is estimated to be between ten and twenty years old and has been well preserved, making it suitable for collectors of modern jet aircraft or small-scale military aviation displays.
The F-15E Strike Eagle belongs to the late Cold War and modern era, entering service in the late 1980s and remaining one of the USAF’s most capable multirole strike fighters today.
