Description from the seller
A particularly decorative object in the shape of a duck, made of solid brass. This piece consists of a bowl with a perfectly fitting lid, where the duck's head serves as a handle. The entire piece is beautifully designed with engraved details on the plumage, indicating artisanal craftsmanship.
The style and finish of this object most likely place it in the Art Deco to early mid-century period (approximately 1930s–1950s). Such duck-shaped terrines and bowls were mainly produced in France and Italy, often as luxurious table decorations or as showpieces for buffets or display cabinets.
The item is in good original condition with a beautiful, warm patina appropriate for its age. Small signs of use and superficial scratches are present, contributing to the authenticity and charm of this vintage object. No cracks or repairs were observed.
