Warm welcome
A magnificently designed mantel clock from the second half of the 19th century is for sale, equipped with an original, clearly stamped Japy-Frères movement ('JAPY FRERES & CIE – Gde Médaille d’Honneur'). The heavy case is made of finely crafted bronze casting and features richly ornamented decorations in the style of Historicism with Rocaille, mask, and leaf motifs. An elaborate ornament and the decorative enamel dial with gilded pierced appliqués emphasize the prestigious character of this timepiece.
