Lot of two lord Ganesha figures from Asia, dating circa 1970–1990, with one statue about 18.5 cm high and the other about 9.5 cm high, both in good condition and unsigned.
Description from the seller
Parcel of two Lord Ganesha statues.
Probably Asia, India, and Tibet.
Circa 1970-1990
Image one shows Lord Ganesha with a flute.
The figurine is made of brass, a metal considered auspicious in Hindu traditions and symbolizing durability.
Ganesha, the god of wisdom, knowledge, and the remover of obstacles, is depicted here in an unusual posture in which he plays a flute.
Symbolism: The flute symbolizes divine harmony, joy, and the universal sound (Nada Brahma) that dispels negativity and brings peace.
It measures approximately 19.5 cm in height, with a weight of 1800 grams.
The second image shows a Ganesha statue with five heads.
This figurine depicts Panchamukhi Ganesha, a form of the Hindu god Ganesha with five heads. The name 'Panchamukhi' is derived from Sanskrit, where 'pancha' means five and 'mukhi' means faces.
Meaning and symbolism
The five faces of Panchamukhi Ganesha have a deep spiritual significance:
Five Koshas: Each head symbolizes one of the five Koshas, or sheaths, of human consciousness:
Annamaya: The physical body.
Pranamaya: the breath of life or energy.
Manomaya: The mind.
Vijñānamaya: the higher consciousness.
Anandamaya: Cosmic bliss
It measures 9.5cm in height and appears to be silver-plated.
Both in good condition, of course with signs of use.
Photographs are part of the description.
These are made under artificial lighting; the color may vary.
It will be well packaged and sent by registered mail.
Jiljes where quality and service are prioritized.
