An antique walking cane from circa 1900–1910, made of antler, hardwood and horn, in good used condition with small signs of aging and spots, featuring an Art Nouveau plaque with a woman's profile and a decorative mid‑shaft openwork ornament, and a horn tip at the bottom, with a total length of 93 cm.
Description from the seller
This elegant antique walking stick from around the late 19th to early 20th century beautifully combines craftsmanship with the charm of natural materials. The handle is made from antler, with its characteristic knobby structure and a deep, dark patina that has only become more beautiful over the years. At the top, there is a graceful Art Nouveau plaque featuring the profile of a woman, richly detailed and typical of the period around 1895–1915. This gives the stick a refined and almost jewel-like appearance.
The shaft is made of warm brown hardwood, finely finished and still completely in its original condition. In the middle, there is a small metal ornament in openwork Art Nouveau style, a subtle detail that gives the stick extra character and authenticity. The entire piece is finished at the bottom with a horn cap, as is customary with quality sticks from this period.
With a total length of 93 cm, this walking stick is both decorative and functional, and a beautiful example of the style and craftsmanship traditions of the fin de siècle. An ideal collector's item for enthusiasts of hunting gentleman accessories, Art Nouveau, or antique walking sticks.
