Jakob Maria Wagner - Church Reflection 27

Title: Church Reflection 27 Artist: Jakob Maria Wagner (2002 Austria) Edition: 1/10 Medium: Giclée Print on 350 g/qm Hahnemühle Museum Etching Dimensions: 50cm x 32cm (including surrounding 1cm white border) Signature: signed titled, dated and numbered on the back Date: image captured in October 2024 / printed in December 2025 (Certificate of Authenticity included) Photograph taken at the church: Kirche Techendorf (Aufbarungshalle), 9762 Techendorf (Austria More about the artwork: This picture is part of the ongoing series "Church Reflections", for which I visited all of the around 1000 churches and chapels of my Austrian home state Carinthia to photographically document reflections in their windows, more precisely the given fusion of those reflections with the church interiors. It is important to clarify, that this series follows a documenting approach, the photographs are no digital compositions, they are genuinely representing real scenes. The task, in order to achieve a clear, authentic and visually pleasing depiction, requires to work around certain technical difficulties. As an example, with the intention of capturing a wide view, without appearing myself in the reflection, a panorama, taken from marginally different positions, needs to be manually puzzled together in a way that my own reflection remains concealed. At the moment, the series consists out of 50 images, a continuously growing number. By now, the collected photo material is processed to approximately 70%, the completion of the series can be expected in 2026. About the artist (me): I officially started to work full time as an artist this year after moving from Austria (Carinthia) to Spain (Almería). Currently, most attention still lies on the soon finished "Church Reflections" series. In general, I am not bound to one medium, there is an urge to work with haptic materials again after the "Church Reflections" are completed. The following project will likely be free of a consistent theme, in order to enable the input of a variety of little ideas that accumulated the last years. Printing method: All pictures of this series are Giclée prints on heavy 350 g/qm Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper. A printing method that combines best preservability with most favorable aesthetic characteristics. The matt and softly textured surface of this paper additionally gives the print an engaging haptic quality. Framing options: Regarding the framing, I am trusting you to be able to make the best decision based on the individually given circumstances. In case of doubt, my recommendation would be a natural wood, a white painted, or in some cases, a black painted frame. If you decide to add a Passepartout, a white or slightly cream white option will usually be the best choice. Feel free to contact me if you need any further assistance. Shipping: The prints always get manufactured before the auction, to ensure rapid shipping. For a high level of protection, the works get wrapped in acid free silk paper, embedded in bubble wrap and placed in a cardboard tube. For the nice scenario that you acquire more than one print, the shipping costs will automatically only apply once. The prints get shipped directly by me from Spain. I guarantee safe, worldwide shipping. If you have any questions, it would be a pleasure to hear from you. Best greetings, Jakob Maria Wagner
