TAKECHI TETSUJI - "Treasured Sexuel Encyclopedie 秘蔵性典" - 200 Pages - Never reprinted - - 1993

"The Secret Sex Encyclopedia" by Takechi Tetsuji (1912-1988) About the Author: Tetsuji Takechi was a brilliant film director, kabuki critic, and writer. He held a significant position in the film industry in Japan and around the world, and was the first to direct erotic films (1960s-1970s) and pink films. He faced numerous censorship challenges and was involved in numerous lawsuits. He also established many rules for kabuki theater and influenced film directors both in Japan and abroad. In 1981, he produced the film "Daydream." This film is considered Japan's first pornographic film and is based on a novel by Izumi Kyoka (1873-1939), a leading author of fantasy and sensual writing. The novel influenced Japanese literature throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. Tetsuji supervised and directed this book before his death in 1988, and the first edition was published in 1993. He wrote the preface, endnotes, and homage to Kyoka. This book is very dense and is filled with photographs from his film "Daydream." The two leading roles are played by actress Kyoko Aisome and the brilliant Japanese actor Kei Sato. Sato has appeared in dozens of films, particularly as villains and gangsters. You'll notice that "Daydream" doesn't appear in his filmography. That's not a good time to watch these films. Tetsuji titled his book "Sex Encyclopedia" and includes numerous erotic sketches related to the Kama Sutra. The authors of these sketches are listed on the colophon, and each sketch is accompanied by a title and a description of the sexual position. Hardcover, with slipcase. The title and author are printed in gold lettering. 31cm x 22cm, 200 pages.
