Description from the seller

VDA / Rene Lalique 'Chicoree' no. 1 dish, in excellent condition, produced in France around 1921.
Only two scratches (see photos). No restorations and/or broken pieces.
The scale is manufactured from clear and opalescent pressed glass.

"VDA", which stands for Verrerie d’Alsace, was used as a brand stamp in the early years of the factory in Alsace, specifically around 1921 to approximately 1923. Pieces with this stamp are rare and often associated with the transitional period when Lalique was starting its glass production in Alsace.
After the early period (post-1923), the 'VDA' marking disappeared again, and Rene Lalique more often used 'R. Lalique France' or similar brand designations.
Because the VDA pieces come from the early period, they are also labeled as 'early work' and are therefore rare and highly sought-after collectibles.

Signed 'VDA' and 'FRANCE' (in relief).
Bibliography: Félix Marcilhac, page 749 (in the 1989 edition), #3213.

Will be shipped very well packaged, with track & trace code.
