Description from the seller
Jan Snoeck (Rotterdam, 1927 – The Hague, 2018) was a prominent Dutch artist, known for his contributions to the world of modern art, particularly in the field of sculpture. He was strongly associated with the avant-garde movement and was influenced by geometric abstraction and minimalism.
Snoeck's work often involved the use of clean lines, simple shapes, and a focus on the relationship between space and volume. Throughout his career, he experimented with various materials, such as metal, stone, and concrete, to create sculptures that explored the interaction between structure and emptiness. His works were exhibited in numerous museums and galleries, and he gained a reputation as one of the key figures in post-war Dutch sculpture.
