Doxa Full Hunter pocket watch from the 1850s to 1900s with manual wind movement, a silvered metal case, 53 mm lug width, over 50 mm case diameter, weighing 93 g, in very good condition with minor wear, in working order and shipped insured, featuring a double closure and a double engraved image on the metal.
Description from the seller
Doxa, Full Hunter, marvelous and majestic pocket watch with double closure and double engraved image in the metal, which I classified as silvered because there is no hallmark.
Watch dating back to the late 1800s, early 1900s at most, and as you can see from the photos, the mechanism is of the highest quality, protected by a very thin glass covering it.
What more can I say? In my opinion, a unique piece from a highly prestigious brand, highly sought after by collectors and beyond, which in this case has created an even more unique jewel—rare and beautiful in every detail.
Note the image of the tiger, the artistic stroke of the drawing in which the feline is finishing its prey, but even more exceptional, in my opinion, is the image where the hunter, whose features can even be discerned, attempts to strike the tiger from atop his steed.
I used silver-colored metal because there is no punch, but I still have some doubts.
The watch has been serviced and works well. It may require lubrication to optimize performance and maintain accurate time over the long term.
53 mm diameter from left to right.
It weighs about 93 grams.
