Zenith Defy, reference 316 E 485, from the 1970s, with automatic calibre 2562 PC (28800 A/h) and a 46-hour power reserve, housed in a 37 mm stainless steel octagonal case with a steel bracelet and showing visible wear on a generally good condition.
Description from the seller
A Zenith Defy 28800 automatic watch manufactured in the 1970s.
This watch is a collectible item because this watch (316 E 485) is part of the first Defy watches produced in very limited numbers by Zenith, making it a collectible Zenith watch designed later. The watch is completely original.
The Defy is a long-lasting model in the Zenith range, with the last Zenith Defy Lab being the most precise mechanical watch in the world.
Stainless steel case. This particular line of super resistant watches (shockproof, waterproof) was introduced by Zenith in 1968 alongside El Primeros to capitalize on sports watches.
This watch features an octagonal steel case with a double-sealed screw-down crown, hardened mineral crystal, a special locking bezel to create an especially effective seal, and a shock-resistant rubber bushing that suspends the entire movement. The back of the case bears the typical Zenith signature.
These are antique watches; they are not water resistant and must be handled carefully.
The automatic caliber 2562 PC with a second sweep and date: set to change between 7:30 PM and 12:00 AM.
23 rubies, beat rate per hour: 28,800 A/h, power reserve 46 hours
The dial is white with original luminous hands from Zenith and a date (between the 4th and 5th). The strap is a Zenith stainless steel bracelet. Zenith signed.
