Rolex Datejust 36 mm watch, reference 16233, automatic movement, steel and yellow gold case with a fluted 18k bezel, champagne dial, bi‑color steel and gold Jubilee bracelet, 36 mm, men’s size, with box but no papers or warranty, in very good condition with minor wear and a green original sticker on the case back.
Description from the seller
This Rolex Datejust 36 mm, reference 16233 and serial number R-7XXXXXX, is in very good cosmetic condition, befitting a watch from the late 1980s that has been carefully preserved. The steel case shows slight signs of wear, visible as micro-scratches typical of normal use, but maintains well-defined lines and is free of dents or deformation. The fluted 18-karat yellow gold bezel retains a remarkable shine, with minor surface marks that do not detract from its overall appearance.
The champagne/silver dial is in excellent condition, with no stains, discoloration, or wear on the indices or text. The applied yellow gold markers retain their original luster, and the hands are in good condition with no signs of oxidation. The Cyclops loupe provides clear magnification and has no visible defects in the crystal.
The two-tone Jubilee bracelet in steel and gold is structurally sound, with the natural flex expected for its age. There is moderate surface wear on the links and clasp, but no excessive looseness or structural damage. The Rolex folding clasp retains its crisp and functional internal engraving.
On the back, the original green adhesive is still visible, a detail that indicates a good level of preservation and the fact that the watch has not been aggressively polished. The engraved references between the lugs—16233 at the top and the serial number at the bottom—are clear and perfectly legible.
The set includes the original Rolex box, the green document holder, and the Rolex pendant/seal, which significantly increases the value for collectors and buyers looking for a more complete set.
In summary, this Rolex Datejust 36 mm ref. 16233 is offered in very attractive condition, with slight and even cosmetic wear, proper functioning, and a high degree of integrity in all its components. A classic piece, well preserved and ready to be worn or added to a serious collection.
