Description from the seller

Creates a warm and timeless atmosphere.
Antique French crystal chandelier – circa 1918–1925
Material: bronze and brass, original silver-plated, 9-flame
1. Origin; Dating
Based on the visible features, the chandelier can be classified as follows:
France
Date of origin
ca. 1918–1925 (End of Jugendstil → early Art Deco → Louis XVI Revival)
Fine, pierced relief decorations (ajouré type): typical of 1900–1925.
Original silver plating on bronze/brass: common from 1910 to 1930.
Elegant baluster column with a slender form: early Art Deco tendencies.
5 outer curved, fluted arms: typical French production before 1930
Tray dishes with delicate floral designs: common around 1910–1925.
Poetic crystal chandelier with hand-formed brass rings: typical until around 1925.
The chandelier is very likely original from around 1918–1925 and clearly not from the 1950s/60s.
2. Material
frame
Bronze (arms, baluster, supports) → non-magnetic
Brass (parts of the ring construction)
Surface: original silver plating, not modern re-coating.
The silver plating shows the typical warm tone, not the cold chrome of the 1950s.
Crystals
Multiple-faceted octagons, strong rainbow refraction.
Early machine-made or hand-polished
Brass eyelets, not machine-pressed — before 1930.
Electric
Renewed on E14 screw fitting.
3. Construction & Stylistic features
crown area
Large, ornate crown with fine openwork
Typical of French manufactories before 1925.
baluster
Slim, light, tulip-shaped
Very characteristic of the transition from Jugendstil to early Art Deco.
main tire
Elaborately pierced floral relief
Craftsmanship of high quality, not industrially stamped goods.
Arms; drip trays
5 outer luminous arms, finely fluted
Trays with floral arabesques – stylistically perfect early 1920s
Wallpaper
Three graduated baskets, fully decorated.
Denser, high-quality crystal hanging → quality level above standard products
4. State
Body and relief practically undamaged
Original wallpaper fully
Silver plating, well preserved
Electrical work properly renewed
No missing crystals detectable.
The chandeliers come from a French manor house; originally, there were three identical pieces hanging there.
Measurements per chandelier
Approximately 58 cm in diameter.
Total length approximately 82 cm (adjustable)
Condition: very good, complete, no missing crystals.
Ideal for large rooms, staircases, dining rooms, hotels, and old buildings.
