Silver plated presentation tray produced by Mappin & Webb (United Kingdom), marked EPCA (Electro Plated Copper Alloy), representative of British mid-20th-century protocol and corporate gift production.
The tray is silver electroplated over a copper alloy base. The front features neo-rococo style ornamental engraving with floral and scrolling motifs, centred by a plain cartouche. The rim is finished with a beaded edge, characteristic of classic English silverware.
The reverse bears the engraved inscription:
“With Best Wishes
From
SANYO MARUBENI (U.K.) LTD.”
This inscription confirms the tray was made as a corporate presentation piece, most likely dating to the period circa 1965–1980.
The tray is accompanied by its original Mappin & Webb presentation box, enhancing authenticity and collector appeal.
