Description from the seller

I am offering this oval enameled cast iron baking dish from Le Creuset, part of the famous 'La Mama' collection, model No. 25, designed by Italian designer Enzo Mari.
This iconic model is distinguished by its simple, functional, and timeless lines, perfectly representative of the smart industrial design of the 1970s.

The dish features a clear interior glaze and a characteristic brown exterior. Notably, there are visible chips on the corners of the handles as well as on the outer edge of the dish (see details in the photos). These signs of use are consistent with the age of the piece and do not compromise its durability or cooking qualities. Overall, it remains very good and fully functional.

About Enzo Mari
Enzo Mari (1932–2020) is one of the greatest designers and design theorists of the 20th century. His work is characterized by a radical approach to functionality, formal simplicity, and material honesty. The collection “La Mama” perfectly illustrates his philosophy: utilitarian, robust, accessible objects designed to last, where form is entirely in service of use.
Enzo Mari's collaborations with industrial manufacturers like Le Creuset have given rise to pieces that are now true references in domestic design, sought after both by cooking enthusiasts and design collectors.

About Le Creuset
Le Creuset is a century-old French company, renowned worldwide for its expertise in enameled cast iron. Each piece is designed to provide even heat distribution, high thermal inertia, and exceptional durability. The vintage models testify to a craftsmanship that combines artisanal and industrial skills, which has made the brand famous.

The advantages of enameled cast iron.
Enameled cast iron guarantees even and controlled cooking, making it ideal for oven dishes, roasts, gratins, and slow-cooked recipes. Solid and nearly indestructible, this type of cookware is designed to last for decades and be passed down through generations, while maintaining its performance and character.
This dish 'La Mama' is both an effective cooking utensil, a signed design object, and an iconic piece of 20th-century culinary design history.

The shipment will be carried out carefully and protectively.
Kind regards.
