Description
Authentic antique shoemaker's anvil, made from solid wrought iron. This type of tool was used by shoemakers and leatherworkers for shaping, modeling, and repairing shoes and soles.
The anvil is crafted with multiple characteristic shapes and horns, each intended for a specific part of the shoe, such as the toe, heel, and arch. The asymmetrical, sculptural form is typical of artisanal shoemaker's tools from this period and makes this object both highly functional and decorative.
