Helen Nieuwendijk (1946). 
Studied sociology at the University of Amsterdam. In 1985, she was accepted at the Art Academy of Ruudt Wackers. In 1988 she took a post-graduate course at the van Gogh-atelier led by Pieter Schenk.
Her paintings are expressive, there is a meeting between figuration and abstraction. They give the viewer the possibility of imagination and fantasy. Her paintings are colourful and light style. Helen needs the reality to show her fantasy. She is intense and intuitive. Her paintings have been purchased for private collections in England, Switzerland, Belgium and America. She makes portraits and get many assignments from the business community. Helen participates in art projects and exhibitions.
