Hand-painted production cel on a hand-painted production background from the classic Rolling Stones video clip Harlem Shuffle (1986), a live-action/animation combination, where the live-action was directed by the legendary Ralph Bakshi (of Fritz the Cat, Cool World, and the animated version of Lord of the Rings) and the animation by John Kricfalusi (of The Ren & Stimpy Show). These so-called “production setups”, where an original production cel is placed on a (sometimes arbitrary) original production background, are unique and of high quality. For reference, see screenshots of the clip. (not included in the lot)
The item is framed with acid-free materials, triple mat and a custom-made wooden frame. Mat opening: 29.5 x 21.5 cm.
