Beautiful and large crucifix with a Corpus that is 85 cm high.
This crucifix was owned by the Sacré Coeur in Ixelles Bruxelles (Belgium).
The Corpus Christi has a lot of details, with lots of details concerning muscles and physique.
The Corpus is fully made of plaster and is of the four-nail, which was how these objects were designed before 1850. After 1850, the three-nail type became the standard, with crossed feet.
The unique thing about this crucifix is that Jesus is depicted with an aureola.
Given its age, the sculpture is in a very-well preserved condition.
Please note the very natural facial expression of Jesus.
The Corpus Christi is removable from the large oak cross.

The Corpus is 85 cm and the arm width is 61 cm and it weights 6.550 kg.
The cross is 1.41 m and is 78.5 cm wide, the weight is 4.980 kg.

Pick up in Izegem, Belgium, is preferred given its weight and size.
