John Laurance

1970s earthenware, two brave cannoneers, very decorative. Typical 1970s. Fully intact. 

Dimensions: 25-17-18 cm, drawn by Soveg Jorto (see photos). This is the artist name of Mária Sövegjártó, an Hungarian artist which is predominantly renowned in her own country. Below a list of her exhibitions:

My father bought this piece in Bruges on an exhibition of ten Hungarian artists. It took place from 7 May until 4 June 1978 in the ‘Huidevettershuis’ in Bruges (see the last two photos).
