Madagascar ‘mijoa’ Bird
PROVENANCE: -Gustave Bulkens, gallery Dayak Antwerp, early 80 's.

HEIGHT: H = 78 cm without the beard, 80 cm on wood stand ( included in your package ).
The nose has been reglued, but it's the original one.

These eroded archaic sculptures were made to embellish the graves of important families, the birds represent the inter-connection of life and death.
