A very special chess set. Superpowers USA and USSR are facing each other on the battlefield! The playing fields also show parts of countries all over the world. The chess pieces resemble the stars and stripes for the USA and the hammer and sickle for the USSR. The pawns are all unique and represent the various presidents on both sides.

The chess set can also be found in the leading book ‘Chessmen, Art and History’ by M. and I. Kloprogge. See last photos. The book also mentions which presidents were all portrayed by pawns. This version is fairly recent, even Obama is part of the USA. 
Both the chessboard and the chess pieces are in perfect condition.

Height king: 7 cm. Size chessboard (unfolded): 29 x 29 x 2 cm. Total weight: 0.6 kg.
