A three figure Charm from the Mongo people in Congo.
Oxidized light weight wood, black pigments fiber rope & seeds. I bought it from an inheritance in Antwerp. One arm missing on one of the three figures, a little chip missing on another arm and side of coiffure ( see pictures.)

The Mongo people live in the equatorial forest of Central Africa. They are a Bantu ethnic group . Traditional religion of the Mongo people is largely one of ancestor worship, belief in nature spirits, fertility rites, with shamanic practices such as magic, sorcery, and witchcraft.
