Material of the 2 lamps is plastic, of the bookends is solid aluminium.
The lamp works on 4 AA batteries. The lamp has an on/off switch, and the colour patterns can be changed.
with the colour changing knob. The colours change with intervals and can be stopped with the hold colour knob, to 
fix the colour the lamp is at the moment.
The lamp can stand in two ways, but can also be hung. As can be seen in the photos, everything works. Very decorative to place anywhere.
